Course Overview
Join us for 5 Days of River Education on a stand-up paddleboard with Pro Reta Boychuk from CANRVRSUP. The length of this course allows you to fully immerse yourself into the world of whitewater. Learn hydrology, safety fundamentals and how to navigate a river environment comfortably.
Throughout the week you will be introduced to Slalom which teaches you how to SUP in ways you might not have thought possible before! You will learn how to keep momentum while crossing mid-river eddies, ideal paddle stroke placement, and many other key techniques.
You will learn tactics to excel in Downriver SUP Racing and be encouraged to partake in the SUP Slalom and Downriver SUP Races with Reta at Mid Mad Fest 2024!
Reta believes anyone CAN RVR SUP! Progress at your own pace as she helps you go with the flow. Her competent and calm teaching style allows you to develop your skills while feeling safe and supported. Combine this with MKC’s world class hospitality and you have an active vacation like no other!
Whether you are a new or established paddler, we welcome everyone to our riverside community to learn new skills. Build confidence on the water and be able to participate in Mid Mad Fest at the end of the clinic.

The facility has been lovingly maintained and was peacefully beautiful. The food was great: abundant, fresh, flavourful and healthy. Customer service is clearly a priority as all the staff from the instructors, administration and food services were smiling, accommodating and helpful.

Located on a great section of the Madawaska river, MKC provides outstanding instruction in paddling white water (kayak and canoe), as well as good food. Kinda like summer camp for adults.

I went down a class 2 rapid paddling from the stern! I've never paddled from the stern before, let alone going down a rapid. Loved the vegetarian food! Spanakopita, vegetarian kabobs, sweet potato burgers! Everything was great. Loved the positive atmosphere and energy of all the staff!
